What does MobileCrumbs cost?
There is a one time cost of $1.99 per install.

 

Is MobileCrumbs compatible with all phones?
Right now, MobileCrumbs is compatible with Android phones (Android version 5.1 and above). 

 

What is the accuracy of MobileCrumbs GPS?
Our application is as accurate as your phones GPS.  Just like your phone's GPS accuracy, our app is as accurate as it.  We use your phone's GPS, so if there are any dead zones, issues with your GPS or network issues with your cellular provider, our app is dependent on all of these.
What if the receiving device does not have MobileCrumbs installed?
The device will still receive the text alerts.
 
Why does MobileCrumbs need rights to my device contacts?
MobileCrumbs will read the contacts on the device in the attempt to help the user select an entity to receive the information from the device being monitored. At no point is any of this information collected by MobileCrumbs for the purpose of sharing, marketing or distributing to any other device or entity. The information is only used to facilitate the ability to set up a task configuration needed by the user’s device.

 

Why does MobileCrumbs need rights to my device GPS Service?

MobileCrumbs is a tracking application and GPS is a required part of the application. If the device has Location turned off or the permissions are not granted to MobileCrumbs, then the application is not able to provide the tracking ability. This is a critical part of the MobileCrumbs application, therefore required by the application by design.

 

Why does MobileCrumbs need rights to my device Storage?

MobileCrumbs needs a location on the device for storing task configurations and other application required data. The data is only saved to the device and no other devices unless the data is shared with other devices selected by the user for the purpose of using the application with other MobileCrumbs users.  None of the data in the database is sent to other applications, sites or other data collection applications. All data is secured on the application directory for use of the MobileCrumbs local installation only.

 

Why does MobileCrumbs need rights to my phone properties?

MobileCrumbs requires the need to read the phones properties for the use of setting up task configurations sent to and received by the MobileCrumbs application. At no point is any of the information sent to any sites, data collection or other application other than MobileCrumbs. The application uses the information to validate and set information needed by the application.

 

Why does MobileCrumbs need rights to my phone’s SMS texting service?

MobileCrumbs requires the ability to interact with the default SMS texting service on the device. MobileCrumbs does not require to be the default text editor, but the application uses SMS to send the text notification to other devices and for the parsing of other MobileCrumbs texts received by the application. SMS text is a required part of the MobileCrumbs application

 

Will MobileCrumbs drain the battery on the device?

MobileCrumbs is an application that will affect the battery life on a device. However, if the application GPS requests are setup for high frequency versus low frequency the battery life will differ.

 

What languages does MobileCrumbs support?

Currently MobileCrumbs supports English, Spanish, French and Italian.

 

Why does MobileCrumbs require notifications?

MobileCrumbs uses notifications to display text messages and provide the user a visual queue that the MobileCrumbs service is running. The MobileCrumbs service provides all the interactions of the application, whether or not the application is open and active. The service is a required part of the monitoring process. Since the MobileCrumbs service provides a critical part in the applications operation, an icon will be displayed to warn the user that MobileCrumbs service is running on the device. Do not shut off notifications for the MobileCrumbs application.

Do I need Google Maps installed on my device?

Yes, in order to use the visual report maps feature, you must have Google Maps installed.
